Misal Magic in Minutes: A Weeknight Wonder with AM Masale

Are you craving a quick and flavorful vegetarian dish? Look no further than Misal, a Maharashtrian favorite with a spicy punch! Today, we’ll use AM Masale’s Tari Gravy Masala for a hassle-free version that explodes with taste.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup sprouted matki (moth beans), soaked overnight
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 (14.5 oz) can diced tomatoes
  • 2 tbsp AM Masale Tari Gravy Masala
  • Salt to taste

1 tbsp chopped coriander leaves (for garnish)

Optional Toppings:
Chopped onions (fried)
– Sev (crispy fried gram noodles)
– Lemon wedges
– Chopped coriander leaves

Instructions:

1. Cook the Matki: Drain and rinse the soaked matki. Boil in water for 5-7
minutes, or until cooked through. Set aside.

2. Sauté the Aromatics: Heat oil in a pan. Add chopped onion and cook until
translucent. Add ginger-garlic paste and turmeric powder, and cook for 30
Seconds.

3. Build the Spice: Stir in diced tomatoes and AM Masale Tari Gravy Masala.
Simmer for 5 minutes, letting the flavors blend.

4. Simmer & Serve: Add cooked matki and salt to taste. Simmer for 2-3 minutes.

5. Dish it Up: Serve hot in bowls with your choice of toppings – chopped onions,
sev, lemon wedges, and fresh coriander leaves.
